Free Women's Safety Seminar hosted by State Representative Tim Ozinga

State Representative Tim Ozinga (R – Mokena) and Joe Malone are hosting a free interactive de-escalation and self-defense seminar. The event will help attendees learn how to control fear in confrontation, establish a “safety line,” defuse strange behaviors, defend themselves, and more. The seminar is at the Lee F. Rosenquist Memorial Auditorium at Lincoln-Way Central High School on June 7th at 6:00 pm.

“As a father of four daughters, I would want to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to defend themselves. This course is not only a valuable resource for women of all ages in our community but will also provide useful information for men,” Rep. Ozinga stated.

Joseph Malone is a former Special Operations Marine and the CEO and Founder of Southern Cross. He is an expert firearms trainer and safety consultant. He has taught thousands of corporate and government clients worldwide about ways to protect themselves and others in rare or everyday conflicts. The event will also be sponsored by local businesses Southern Cross, Warner A/V, Eagle Eye Media, Hometown Lenders, and The Hage Insurance Agency. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. Space is limited, and registration is encouraged. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
